Well, i'm not happy. I see it as a pure financial decision to keep people buying 2games and keep the sales number high.

I am not sure why there is unhappiness....the whole premise of Guildwars is limit people so they have to make choices...well this is no exception...You either choose to have 8 players but not acces to all the skills OR you choose 6 characters but have full access....
Those that are complaining about the "marketing"...of course they want to make money...ANET is not a charity, they are a software company that is in it to make money all the while doing something fun and exciting, for them and those that play the game. So cough up the extra 50 and be glad there is not monthly fee...after all wihtout more money ANET wouldnot be able to provide the constant server with routine updates.

Shouldnt the math be more like 8 slots for a 75% gameplay experience vs 6 slots for a 100% experience? [Long pause for you to do the math...a=(6 X 1.00) therefore a=600, b=(8 X .75) therefore b=600, therefore a=b +/- your personal preference.... Eureka!]

Now take that and divide by monthly charges [Pause again....12(months) X $10(a month)=120, 600/120=5]

And multiply how ANET makes their money with no monthly charges[(5+45)X(numbers of dwarf guild guild accounts) + (expansion pack per account)]

Which is a grand total of = all ur $$$ pwn to ANET.
Sounds like marteting in action to me.

If I could buy a version of Factions that would allow me to link with my existing CE Prophecies, and get my slots up to at least the amount of classes currently available (including the 2 new ones), I would definitely pick it up. Even if it cost $100. I bought the CE of the first chapter, not because I gave a damn about glowy hands, but because I wanted to support Anet the best way I know how - by giving them more money. Sure, I have 2 accounts, and I may buy 2 Prophecies... but then again I have a baby on the way, and if I have to choose between getting 1 copy of Prophecies, or 1 copy of TES: Oblivion, sorry Anet, Oblivion will most definitely win that decision.

It has 4, unless you link with a chapter 1 account, in which case you will get 2 more slots.

^^ actually, if i read it correctly, it would be either 8 separate characters with access to half the game each or six characters with access to the entire game.

wouldn't that be 8*.5= 4 & 6*1=6--
therefore their logic is correct with the 4*0.5 but that's not including buying an update at all.

so i agree that it should be if you buy the expansion you should get all the expansion & half the original (75%) to make each choice equal.

anyways, thats how i understood it, pls tell me if i'm wrong

Great news (I was actually in LA1 at the time), and I'm very glad ANet has listened to the fan base (or were they planning 2 slots all along??) A very wise move, and will dramatically decrease the number of Ri/A and A/Ri characters we will see in CH2.

Right now, one character can hold 45 items in inventory. One account has access to 20 slots of space in Storage. These numbers might go up in a future update (some Gaile chat suggested it might be possible)

Not linking C1 and C2 means you get two additional characters' worth of inventory plus an additional 20 slots in storage.

Linking C1 and C2 means you have access to more skill combinations, and you can use non-core skills from one chapter in the other chapter.

What is your choice?

ps. please also specify if you are more PvP oriented or more PvE oriented.

2 new slots for the two new professions. What about the other two professions? There is already 6 existing.

Okay so I can understand them wanting to make money, but I doubt anything like that is a bid to save space or bandwidth costs. I still want an option to buy extra slots or something to that effect.

if i link my accounts, will i be able to switch regions, as it stands im stuck in America, when factions comes, i want to join back to Europe to play with my friends who have stopped playing the current guildwars. It would be a pain to meet up in INT districts all the time. And the fact that i would have payed for a new expansion but still have 0 changes would annoy me greatly. could some1 ask this question to gaile if they regularly talk to her when she comes online
